admin 166 Posted Sunday 2018-12-23 04:47 A Canadian cat that jumped into an old box ended up being posted more than 1,000 km to the other end of the country. Baloo, a tabby cat from Nova Scotia in Canada, did just that. When owner Jacqueline Lake discovered Baloo was missing she said she knocked door-to-door, searched the woods and everywhere else nearby. “He was gone,” she said. She didn’t think the cat had jumped into the boxes in her home, which were used for packing goods to be sent to Montreal, 1,100 kilometres away. The stowaway was discovered when he did a pee, and the driver taking the parcel wondered why there was urine in his truck. Seventeen hours into the journey which began on December 6, he found the cat inside the box and contacted a local animal shelter. Coincidentally, the name of the freight company was Purolator. 1 Quote Go to top
