ความชั่ว ความดี

Question

Dear K.Andrew,

I’ve trouble translating this Thai phrase…”เหลือแต่ความชั่ว ความดีที่เคยทำไว้ให้คนรุ่นหลังจดจำ”.

(1)    There remain good deeds and bad deeds you’ve done which will be long remembered.

(2)    There remain good things and bad things you did which will last forever.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

The first one sounds a little more natural, but in truth, both sentences are fine. The first sounds more "immediate" and in the present. The second sounds as though there is no more opportunity to do good or bad things (like the person has died). But their meanings are quite similar.
